Jean was born and raised
in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, in the Allegheny Forests of Warren
(northwest) Pennsylvania. She received her bachelor's degree in French at Oberlin College
in Ohio. During the following several years, she was employed as a Vietnamese Transcriber
for the National Security Agency in Maryland. She has been involved in sales and marketing
since 1973, when she moved to Houston.
Mike is almost a native Houstonian! Following an education at Texas
A&M and The University of Texas at Austin, Mike served in the Navy as a pilot. He has
been in sales and sales management for the past 30 years, specializing in industrial
systems.
In 1986, Mike and Jean moved to The Woodlands. They have four children,
all grown and living in Texas, California, Missouri and Georgia. Over the years, Jean and
Mike have been avid tennis players and Explorer Scout leaders. They take a special
interest in their church activities, and are co-facilitators of the "TWUMC
Camera Club." For relaxation,
Jean works with polymer clay, tries new recipes constantly, and loves to go camping! Mike
(a true handyman at heart) is a camper as well, but prefers a campsite adjacent to a golf
course! They both love to take LOTS of nature pictures!!
Jean has been a REALTOR® since
1990, receiving Coldwell Banker's "Silver Circle" for excellence in production at the
end of her second year, and earning membership in RE/MAX's elite "Executive
Club" in 1994. In 1995 she very proudly joined the Prudential Gary Greene Realtors
(formerly Better Homes and Gardens) team. She served on the 1994 Executive Board of the
Montgomery County Association of REALTORS®, a position elected by fellow
REALTORS®, and has chaired MCAR Grievance Committee. She is a Graduate of the
Real Estate Institute (GRI), and has her CRS (Certified Residential Specialist)
designation. She is also Quality Service Certified (QSC).
Mike joined Jean at Prudential Gary
Greene, REALTORS (formerly Better Homes and Gardens) in the fall of 1995. He received his
ABR certification for Buyer Representation in 1999. He has served a two-year term as a
Director on the Gary Greene, REALTORS, Agents Council and organized a computer club
at our Gary Greene REALTORS Woodlands Regional Office. His years of experience in the
sales and service fields, his expertise in the computer world, and his genuine delight in
solving problems and helping people have made him an ideal and enthusiastic partner for
this team.
